Supersize Zattoo

Ever wanted to take a closer look at Croatian high jumper and current world champion Blanka Vlašić? Or you're more into Michael Phelps' muscles? No matter what your sexual preferences are, we have something for you. Starting today, we are offering Eurosport at a higher resolution*, as the first of what we call High-Quality (HiQ) channels.
Zattoo HiQ channels are streamed at approximately four times the resolution of our standard-quality channels, offering a level of detail you haven't been able to enjoy so far. Beware however: they do also put more strain on your Internet connection, requiring about 3 times the bandwidth of a standard-quality Zattoo channel. And your 4-year old computer may not be up to the task of displaying that large data stream.
As you've learned by now, at Zattoo we do make our users part of our improvement process. So don't only blame us if the high quality you get is not the high quality you were expecting: let us know (by email or through the player's Send Feedback menu), and we'll do all we can to make it better!

@Zattoo Team: It would be fine if we could have the possibility to switch channels in fullscreen mode by using keys. I think you would only have to write a small function and the effect would be great. It would be possible to use a remote control to switch channles on Zattoo.

Why only Switzerland? Traditionally, Switzerland is our test market (we launched Zattoo first in Switzerland in 2006). That's why we're trying out the new HiQ service here first. As soon as the offer is stable, we will also launch it in Germany and other countries. So there is hope for y'all outside of Switzerland ... :-)
@Tracker und jojo: wir sind mit Eurosport immer noch im Gespräch, hoffen aber, dass wir uns möglichst bald einigen können.
@nanonino: it's not as easy to get new channels for the German lineup as it is for Switzerland. The regulations are different; in Germany, we have to clear the rights with each single broadcaster (which is not the case for Switzerland). But we're working on getting you more channels for Germany.

Das läuft schon seit Wochen nicht normal und ist verbunden mit der eh´ schon immer miesen pixeligen Qualität einfach unzumutbar (da kann man sich ja offenbar den Mund fusselig reden, aber Hauptsache, die Propa.... ähh,... Werbung stimmt!... tztztz) .

Werbung sieht man in D immer noch nicht in den Umschaltpausen, was zwar schön ist, aber darauf hinweist, dass sich wohl keine Werbekunden finden...

It's absolutely fantastic to watch all the different programmes, to learn of all the different views and opinions and in that way it's much easier to get a more realistic picture of the world and all that what is going on. I only hope the message that Zattoois is too much in demand, and because of that please leave Zattoo - try later again to join Zattoo will turn up less in the future. However, I like this opportunity to watch TV very much.

@Massimo: Danke dir! :-) Deine Wünsche sind wie immer weitergeleitet. Ich weiss, dass Pay TV kommt, aber ich weiss noch nicht genau, welche Sender wir dabei haben werden. In Kürze sollten wir aber mehr wissen.
